1550 FISHER $1 reserve auction for kidney health nz
Stabicraft® plans to auction off a 1550 Fisher package at a $1 reserve, with all proceeds going to Kidney Health New Zealand.
In 1997 Stabicraft® co-founder and former CEO Paul Adams was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, which then progressed over the years to end-stage kidney failure requiring the need for renal replacement therapy. A transplant is the best form of renal replacement therapy. In New Zealand, 1 in 10 Kiwis have kidney disease, and the options for those diagnosed at the chronic stage are limited. Paul and his fiancé Barbara then had to have some difficult conversations.
Barbara explains, “It was a pretty emotional time for us as we worked through the options.”
EARLY LAST YEAR, Paul and Barbara underwent a life-changing Kidney transplant. The operation was successful, and they are now both fully recovered and back taking on the world!
“We both really want to give back and make a contribution to support Kidney Health’s goal of ensuring better outcomes for the 500,000 New Zealanders who have kidney disease, many of whom are unaware of their kidney condition.”
STABI PARTNERS A long list of Stabi® partners has all pitched in to help put together an epic package to get the best possible price for Kidney Health NZ. These include; Yamaha Motor NZ, DMW Trailers, Sea Thru Boat Windscreens, Navico Electronics, Wakefield Metals, Sievwright Paint, Howard Anderson Upholstery, Sheet Metalcraft and Ultralon Foam Group.
Not only will the auction winner take ownership of an epic new 1550 Fisher, but know that every single cent will be going to increase awareness of Kidney Health, enabling further testing and ultimately saving lives.
The auction will go live on TradeMe (New Zealand) once the boat package is complete late April / early May. However, you can donate to Kidney Health NZ now www.kidney.health.nz/Donation/
