People

We turn out more than 600 exceptionally-crafted aluminium boats a year from our state-of-art factory in Invercargill. A business is only as good as its people and that's why at Stabicraft we only have the best.

PAUL ADAMS

CEO

Tradesman, turned boat builder, turned businessman. In 2007, Paul Adams was named a member of the NZ Order of Merit for his services to business. The honour is a fitting tribute for the man who in 1987 pioneered positive buoyancy aluminium boats, transforming New Zealand's marine industry. "We pride ourselves on making a boat that enables our clients to embark on adventures with the confidence that, even in the worst conditions, they will get home".

SEAN MCCOLL

SALES MANAGER

Our sales manager Sean McColl knows Stabicraft Marine inside and out having signed on as young man in 1994. Together Sean McColl and Stabicraft Marine have come a long way but one thing hasn't changed. Although he now he has a day-skipper ticket Sean still doesn't own a boat - and with access to a showroom full of the latest models who could restrict themselves to just one?

DANIEL UPPERTON

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER

Daniel graduated from Massey University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Design degree. “Ever since starting my design degree I have wanted to work at Stabicraft, they are one of the world-leading aluminium boat manufacturers.” Dan manages New Product Development and Marketing from the Stabicraft office in Auckland. "Being based in Auckland allows me to be in direct contact with our largest market and the bulk of our suppliers"

SIMON SWALE

PRODUCTION PLANNING

You can take a man out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the man! Born and bred in Winton, Southland, Simon is a southern man as passionate about Stabicraft and what our brand stands for as he is about life. With an innate enthusiasm for anything to do with people, boats and fishing, coupled with more than just a little technical know-how, Simon is perfectly suited to managing the challenging role of production planning. "When you are producing hundreds of boats a year the planning has to be extremely precise but fluid at the same time"

TONY KEAY

DEALER RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Born and bred in the north Tony and the family moved about as far as you can in NZ to join the team at Stabicraft as a Dealer Relationship Manager.

"I love being on the water and fishing with the family, I can't wait to experience what Southland has to offer"

Tony has a real passion for brands that you can trust and have set the benchmark in their field which is what attracted Tony south - plus the lure of a great Blue Cod.

HAYDEN SAYER

RETAIL SALES AND SERVICE MANAGER

Hayden is as true blue a Southlander as they come. A love of boats, fishing and a need for speed encapsulates how Hayden has ended up at Stabicraft.

Hayden is part of the powerboat racing circuit in the South Island and brings his extensive mechanical knowledge to the service team at Stabicraft.

An abundance of fresh water lakes and rivers in Southland gives Hayden ample opportunity to fish and test multiple Stabicraft hulls. All this on-water action provides the perfect platform for Hayden to talk to you about your needs on the water.

OWEN MILLER

MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Owen is one of the few staff at Stabicraft that has worked over 20 years at the company. Owen leads the manufacturing staff after many years not only being on the tools but teaching apprentices the trade that have helped make Stabicraft into a brand that is recognised for quality manufacturing.

Stephen Gilbert

STEPHEN GILBERT

LOGISTICS MANAGER

Steve is in charge of making sure your boats are finished to our exacting standards and shipped out on schedule. Steve started out managing the cutting and folding of every part through the factory so knows the entire manufacturing process thoroughly. With Mel and Christine both supporting Steve you can ensure your boat will be well taken care of.
