We turn out more than 500 exceptionally-crafted aluminium boats a year from our state-of-art factory in Invercargill. A business is only as good as its people and that's why at Stabicraft we only have the best.
Tradesman, turned boat builder, turned businessman. In 2007, Paul Adams was named a member of the NZ Order of Merit for his services to business. The honour is a fitting tribute for the man who in 1987 pioneered positive buoyancy aluminium boats, transforming New Zealand's marine industry. "We pride ourselves on making a boat that enables our clients to embark on adventures with the confidence that, even in the worst conditions, they will get home".
Our sales manager Sean McColl knows Stabicraft Marine inside and out having signed on as young man in 1994. Together Sean McColl and Stabicraft Marine have come a long way but one thing hasn't changed. Although he now he has a day-skipper ticket Sean still doesn't own a boat - and with access to a showroom full of the latest models who could restrict themselves to just one?
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER
Daniel graduated from Massey University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Design degree. “Ever since starting my design degree I have wanted to work at Stabicraft, they are one of the world-leading aluminium boat manufacturers.” Dan manages the New Product Development process and Marketing from the Stabicraft office in Auckland.
DEALER RELATIONSHIP MANAGER & PLANNING
You can take a man out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the man! Born and bred in Winton, Southland, Simon is a southern man as passionate about Stabicraft and what our brand stands for as he is about life. With an innate enthusiasm for anything to do with people, boats and fishing, coupled with more than just a little technical know-how, Simon is perfectly suited to managing multiple dealerships around New Zealand and Australia and is the key liaison between boat owners and our factory production team.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Adam Marshall brings a strong retail background to our team, combined with a thirst for knowledge. Adam is truly a jack of all trades within Stabicraft, he has worked in production, logistics, has been the Retail Sales and Service Manager and is our chief boat tester. He is now charged with dealer relationship management, assisting with marketing and is our big boat, high value sales specialist.
Adam is a keen water-skier and fisherman and after purchasing two 1650 Fishers has decided to upgrade into a more serious platform in the 1850 Supercab. "I love these boats, I have thrashed, bashed and enjoyed every minute of owning my own Stabicraft. I have towed them all around the country to very different watery locations and they suit every different aspect I have thrown at them".
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Chris has bought years of experience in the Supply Chain industry to Stabicraft. He manages the negotiation and procurement of all the aluminium and parts fitted to every single boat through the plant.
Chris has joined us all the way from Auckland where he and the family were seeking a pace of life that suited their outdoor lifestyle. Look no further than Southland, pretty much the furthest you can get away from Auckland, and arguably the best outdoor lifestyle on the planet. With places like Te Anau, Queenstown and Wanaka on your doorstep it was no brainer for Chris and the family to make the move South.
Owen is one of the few staff at Stabicraft that has worked over 20 years at the company. Owen leads the manufacturing staff after many years not only being on the tools but teaching apprentices the trade that have helped make Stabicraft into a brand that is recognised for quality manufacturing.
Steve is in charge of making sure your boats are finished to our exacting standards and shipped out on schedule. Steve started out managing the cutting and folding of every part through the factory so knows the entire manufacturing process thoroughly. With Mel and Christine both supporting Steve you can ensure your boat will be well taken care of.
